Sales Development Representative

Job Description:

The Sales Representative is responsible for generating qualified leads and signing new clients. We are looking for entrepreneurial “never-take-no-for-an-answer” individuals to sell our solution, the Savings Center, to Senior Executives at prospective client companies. The position requires a passion to succeed and the desire to be part of a winning team.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate potential clients list via online research – specifying names of companies, analyzing the potential revenue per client and stakeholders at client.
  • Generate qualified leads via telesales, email marketing and where appropriate via attending industry events.
    • This will require educating the prospects on the quantitative and qualitative benefits of our solution
  • Assist the head of sales in converting the qualified leads to signed customers.
  • Participate in pricing and terms negotiations as needed.
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
  • Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with prospects
  • Update lead and prospect interaction in Company’s CRM system
  • Consistently achieve qualified opportunity quotas
  • Provide feedback to ensure continuous data integrity

Qualifications:

  • 4-year College degree required
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
  • Confident and compelling presentation style
  • Ability to develop Excel models that show the financial impact of our product for potential clients
  • Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; team player
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office)
  • Experience with selling software solutions to corporate clients a strong plus
  • Sales training and CRM experience a strong plus

Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

Required and Desired Skills & Experience:

Our systems are web/mobile applications and RESTful APIs, all built with Ruby on Rails backend. To ensure you hit the ground running, it’s essential that you have 2-6 years of strong, recent experience with Ruby on Rails, as well as the remainder of stack and tools supporting these systems, such as:

  • Deep JavaScript and HTML5 comprehension and experience
  • Modern UI/UX sensibility, with front-end framework such as Bootstrap
  • Extensive MySQL (or similar relational database) experience
  • Experience with GitHub, thorough understanding of VCS in general
  • Complete comfort working in Linux environments

You get bonus points for:

  • Personal programming projects, active in the open-source community
  • Google Analytics, SEO, eCommerce platform (ex. Magento) experience
  • Understanding of digital coupons, SEM, affiliate marketing, and other online marketing concepts

Marketing Manager

Job Description:

As a Marketing Manager at Thrive, you will be both a story teller and marketing facilitator. As often the case in technology startups, the Marketing Manager will wear several important hats. You’ll work closely with Thrive’s management and sales team, as well as our clients. A major focus of the role is to establish unique content which will fuel Thrive’s inbound lead generation, hiring pipeline and brand awareness. Additionally, you will be a lead point of contact for Thrive’s clients and will help facilitate use and marketing of Thrive’s product(s). The ideal candidate understands how critical content marketing is and has rolled their sleeves up and executed content marketing campaigns.

As part of a truly cross-functional team you will be a key player at one of Philadelphia’s fastest growing start-ups where your ideas actually matter.

Responsibilities:

  • Define our content marketing strategy based on company-wide goals that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term.
  • Deliver a content calendar and mapping plan that covers distinct channels and is tied to the business goals, marketing strategy, and brand focus.
  • Create and publish content while also managing freelance resources through the ever evolving content marketing landscape.
  • Identify unique narratives based on current market trends, deliver content themes/topics and execute a plan that capitalizes on topical conversations.
  • Produce high quality content on a daily basis, which includes customer case studies, blogs, infographics, video, whitepapers, benchmark reports, etc.
  • Define our content /social strategy; oversee management of our online communities, including but not limited to Blogs, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Serve as key point of contact for Thrive’s client’s and lead marketing execution of Thrive’s product among new and existing clients
  • Work closely with Thrive’s clients to initiate, manage and optimize marketing of Thrive’s product(s) across all relevant marketing channels

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years experience with digital marketing and content for lead generation, thought leadership and brand awareness.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the measurable business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content. ROI focused, metrics driven.
  • Demonstrated versatility in content formats, including webinars, eBooks, case studies, articles, research reports, white papers, blog posts, social media, and more.
  • Exemplary writing, editorial and research skills.
  • Strong creative sensibilities and a visual eye for design aesthetics, visual content curation.
  • Proven experience managing editorial staff and/or freelancers
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external members of the team including members who are technical, non-technical, partners and senior executives.
  • Proven experience producing quality work in fast-paced, deadline- and sales-driven start-up environment
